SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Two streaks came to an end today for McPherson College’s men’s soccer team.
The Bulldogs’ four-game winning streak was scissored when University of Great Falls’ Paul Silwa scored with 3 minutes left in the second overtime for a 1-0 victory.
The loss also snapped a streak of four straight shutouts by the Bulldog defense.
The Bulldogs were on the defensive much of the match, taking only five shots. Aaron Parrott came up with five saves for Mac.
"The adjustments we made at halftime put us in a good position for a result today,” Mac coach Doug Quint said. “In the second half we did a lot better job and created enough chances to get a result. We are certainly disappointed, but this opponent challenged us and we learned some things about ourselves today."
Next action for Mac, now 4-3 overall, is Sept. 26 when it hosts Johnson and Wales.
