After playing one KCAC co-leader last Saturday, McPherson College’s volleyball team played the other leader here Wednesday.

The Bulldogs lost to Friends in straight sets, 22-25, 19-25, 18-25.

Cortlyne Huppe was tremendous in defeat with a career-high-tying 17 kills in the three sets as most of the offense centered around her. Phoebe Barton and Taylor Johnson had 15 and 12 assists, respectively, and Emily Warner was the dig leader with 17.

The loss dropped Mac to 1-4 in the conference, though it has played mostly the upper-tier teams. The Bulldogs are 6-8 overall.

There is no rest for Mac as it plays Friday in Ottawa and turns around on Saturday to play at Bethany.
