Fifty-seven golfers, which tied a season high, took part Thursday in the weekly Turkey Creek senior scramble play.
Chili was enjoyed following the completion of play since it was the last Thursday of the month.
First with a 56 was the team of Mick Nobert, Dave Tyrell, Steve Schafer and Don James. That was 13-under since No. 5 was playing as a par-3.
Taking advantage of the shortened tee was Gary Holloway, who made a “1” on the hole with a 6-iron.
Second place in the championship flight went to Jerry Grant, Chuck Allcock, Ron Rivir and Don Herrick with a 58.
Holloway, Tom Griffith, George Hurlburt and Lynn Scott won the other flight with a 63 after going to the scorecards with the team of Chuck Horn, Larry Catherman, Dan Hervey and Joe Ledell, who also was the winner of the weekly hole prize.
Tee time next week is 8:30, with an 8 a.m. check-in time.
