There probably shouldn’t have even been a vote.

McPherson College linebacker Trent Forrester today was named KCAC Defensive Player of the Week for his amazing performance in the Bulldogs’ 30-24 victory over Kansas Wesleyan here Saturday.

Forrester, a senior from Salina playing against his hometown team, had a game for the ages. He had 24 tackles, 14 of them solos, with four of them being for lost yardage. He also had a pass break-up and blocked a punt.

Forrester is now eligible for the NAIA Defensive Player of the Week and it’s hard to imagine that he won’t win considering his mind-boggling numbers.
