NORTH NEWTON — This is one of those matches that will gnaw away at the McPherson College volleyball team for a long time.

The Bulldogs appeared on their way to a KCAC victory Wednesday over Bethel, but the Threshers stormed back to win the five-set match.

Mac lost the first set, but came back for 25-23, 25-22 wins.

Bethel though, returned the favor with 25-21 and 15-11 decisions to deny the Bulldogs, now 2-6 in the KCAC and 7-10 overall.

Taryn Lee topped the Bulldogs in kills with 11, while Taylor Johnson led the way in assists with 27. Current KCAC Libero of the Week Emily Warner was credited with 22 digs.

The Bulldogs will step out of KCAC action on Saturday when they travel across town to take on Central Christian College in a rematch from last month. The Bulldogs won the first meeting in straight sets.
