SALINA — Kansas Wesleyan made quick work of arch-rival Bethany College Wednesday night in a KCAC volleyball dual.

The first set was quite spirited with the Coyotes winning only 25-23, but they dominated for 25-9 and 25-12 routs to hand the Swedes their seventh KCAC loss in as many tries and dropped them to 3-13 overall.

Bryanna Cool led the Swedes in kills with seven. Eileen Vlamis was tops in assists with 13 and Ariel Buhr was credited with 13 digs.

“We came out with a lot of energy in the first set without making errors and executing very well,” Bethany coach Nathalea Stephenson said. “We just need to transfer that same energy to sets two and three.”
