LINCOLN, Neb. — Central Christian College’s recently slumping volleyball team returned to the victory column on Thursday with a four-setter against Union College to sweep the season series.

The Lady Tigers slumbered through the first set, losing 22-25, but from there were in control for 25-21, 25-11 and 25-19 victories.

“I'm not really happy about dropping the first game,” CCC coach Christina Ludwick. "But in all reality if you give them 17 points on serving and hitting errors, you can't expect to win. On a positive note, I think we did a nice job of bouncing back and really finishing the match. We gave our freshman a chance to compete and get some quality minutes in. Overall it was a good win and we now look forward to homecoming on Saturday."

Myuko Shono led CCC with 15 kills and Kasi Kraus added 11. Ciara Costello came up with 18 digs and Hannah Crandall put up 43 assists.

Central, 6-14, hosts Dallas Christian Saturday morning at 11.
