MMS harriers finish season

CHENEY — McPherson Middle School’s cross country team recently wrapped up its season at Cheney.

In the seventh-grade girls, Natalie Hedlund (6:26) and Claire Hedlund (6:45) finished 1-2.

Other Bullpup finishers were Heather Schimming (10th in 7:37), Ella Eaton (11th in 7:45), Matie Anderson (12th in 7:57), Isabella Saenz (13th in 8:11) and Rachel Carlson (14th in 8:14).

McPherson had the first seven places in the eighth-grade girls, led by winner MaryAnn Wurm (14:13). She was followed by Katie Bahr (14:28), Hannah Hageman (14:42), Katelyn Beam (15:14), Hannah Dossett (15:20), Maggie Leaf (15:28) and Savannah Brooks (15:40). J’anae Spaich was 11th in 15:56.

Jackson Schrader was the top seventh-grade boy MMS finisher (2nd in 6:22). Other finishers were Dalton Wilson (7th in 6:41), Riley Shelton (12th in 7:03) and EJ Pickerell (22nd in 7:57).

Isiah Moyer was the top eighth-grade boy as he was fourth in 13:18. Other finishers were Silas Steinert (7th in 13:36), Zach LeBlanc (10th in 14:07), Simon Steinert (11th in 14:12), Kyler Chapman (12th in 14:12), EJ Kretzer (13th in 14:24), Austin Young (14th in 14:25), Seth Morgan (15th in 14:28) and Brendan Hoke (19th in 16:44).
