McPherson Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of two health care providers to their family medicine clinic. Dan Lichty, MD and nurse practitioner Autumn Wilgers NP-C, ARNP, have both joined Andrea Herrera, MD at the clinic located in the south annex of the old county hospital building south of the main hospital. This clinic is part of McPherson Medical and Surgical Associates, which also includes surgery and internal medicine clinics.
Dr. Lichty has practiced in McPherson since 2006 at Midland Family Practice with Dr. James Prescott. He specializes in family medicine, including obstetrics and gynecology, and is fluent in Spanish. He completed his Bachelor’s degree at McPherson College in 1976 and graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1989, completing his residency at the St. Joseph Family Practice Residency program in Wichita in 1992. He is certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He and his wife Lynn have three grown children.
Autumn Wilgers is a Kansas native and resides in McPherson. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Baker University in 2004 and her master’s of nursing degree as a family nurse practitioner in 2010. She is certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Wilgers has experience both as an emergency room nurse and in a family practice setting and specializes in preventative care and health maintenance as well as pediatric patients and managing diabetes. She and her husband Dustin have two young children.
