LINDSBORG— Bethany College’s Arianna Anaya, a junior midfielder from West Covina, Calif., has been named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

She played a key role in the Swedes' two KCAC wins last week. In Bethany's 2-1 double overtime win on the road at Friends University, Anaya nailed the game-winning goal with 4 minutes left in the second overtime period.

In the Swedes' 2-1 victory at home over Tabor College, Anaya assisted on Sarah Henderson's goal just 16 minutes into the first half. Anaya then scored her second game-winner of the week.

"It was a great game for Ari the other night," Bethany Sean McMannis said. "Her movement off the ball was tremendous to help assist with the first goal, and not giving up on the second to get the rebound. Her attitude along with grit makes her a great recipient of the Player of the Week award."

Anaya is second on the team in both goals (4) and points (9).
