KCAC volleyball leader KW stops Swedes

LINDSBORG — The Bethany College Swedes managed to win a set off KCAC volleyball  leader Kansas Wesleyan Monday on Senior Night, but the Coyotes won the other three.

Bethany, now 0-17 in the KCAC, startled the Coyotes by winning the first set 25-23, but all that did was wake up KW as it roared back to take 25-14, 25-17 and 25-18 victories.

Alexa Gerber was the Swedes’ kill leader with 11, while Paloma Juarros and Eileen Vlamis dealt out 24 and 19 assists, respectively. Ariel Buhr came up with 14 digs.

Bethany, 0-17 in the conference and 3-25 overall, wraps up KCAC play Saturday at Tabor.
