Welcome back, Darius Hill.

The 6-5 McPherson College senior forward, who missed all of last year with a knee  injury, celebrated his return in spectacular fashion last Saturday with a 14-point, 16-rebound effort against Haskell in the Bulldogs’ season opener.

Today, Hill was named the KCAC’s Defensive Player of the Week.

Hill’s rebounding numbers were phenomenal considering he was going up against Haskell’s 6-10 Tsalidi Sequoyah. Hill limited him to eight points and six rebounds and also drew a pair of charges.

Hill and the Bulldogs are in Manhattan tonight to play Manhattan Christian College. Game time is 7:00.
