Bulldog spikers swept at Ottawa

OTTAWA — McPherson College’s volleyball team has one regular-season match left after losing in straight sets Wednesday to Ottawa.

The Braves dominated the first set 25-7, then completed the sweep with 25-18, 25-12 victories.

Emily Warner recorded 15 digs to lead the Bulldogs, while Taylor Johnson led in assists with 12. Kills were few and far between as Taryn Lee was the leader with just five.

Mac hosts Saint Mary on Saturday. The Bulldogs are 3-14 in the KCAC and 10-18 overall They need to finish in the Top 8 to qualify for postseason play and currently they are tied with Southwestern for the final spot. The Moundbuilders play at Sterling in their regular-season finale.
