Hesston’s Caylee Richardson and Cami Richardson were selected to the Central Kansas League volleyball first team in a vote of coaches.

The Swathers’ Kelsey Unruh was named to the second team, while Jessanna Nebel and Hannah Weber made the honorable mention team.

Smoky Valley was represented by Rilee Carson, who was named to the honorable mention team.

The CKL had tri-champions this year as Hesston, Hillsboro and Sterling were all 10-1 in league play. Amazingly, the other nine teams were under .500, including five that were 5-6.

Hillsboro (39-5), Hesston (36-5) and Sterling (30-8) all reached the magical 30-win barrier. Smoky Valley closed at 4-7 in the CKL, 17-21 overall.

Here is the first team:

• Caylee Richardson, Hesston

• Cami Richardson, Hesston

• Alex Ratzlaff, Hillsboro

• Shannon Heiser, Hillsboro

• Chelsey Riffel, Sterling

• Sada Smith, Kingman

• Kasady Smith, Sterling

• Destani Garten, Pratt
