HILLSBORO — A disappointing season came to an end for Bethany College’s volleyball team on Saturday with a 15-25, 16-25, 18-25 loss to Tabor.
The Swedes ended the year without a KCAC win in 18 tries and were 3-26 overall.
Bryanna Cool and Alexa Gerber recorded six kills apiece. Paloma Juarros led in assists with 15 and Ariel Buhr was tops in digs (15).
“We're excited about the young ladies, we have a great group coming back and we're really excited about that for a future,” Bethany coach Nathalea Stephenson said. “It is tough when you are going up against juniors and seniors and you start freshmen, but those four freshmen stepped up and they're no longer freshman, they are varsity players. I am just proud of this whole team, their attitude is very positive and they are just doing the things that they need to do. This team has a lot of integrity and they like the five values for Champions of Character. I couldn't ask for a better group. I am just proud of the way they represent Bethany College and our volleyball program."
