The McPherson Public Library is hosting a come and go Family History Workshop from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 20 in the library meeting room.

The workshop will feature FamilySearch, the library’s newest online genealogy resource.  Vicki Petersen, FamilySearch consultant, will be on hand to give one-on-one advice to those looking for family records and using FamilySearch.  In addition, library staff will highlight the resources available both online and in the library’s collection.

“Family history is a growing area of interest, “said Jennie Hall, Head of Adult Services.  “We have worked diligently to document local family history records and to provide excellent online resources for those doing research on family history.  We invite everyone with an interest in genealogy to explore these great tools.”

The public is invited to stop by, bring their records, laptops, and questions.  Call the library at 245-2570 or email them at [email protected] for more information.
