The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, which is in effect from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Snow will begin over Central Kansas early Saturday morning, moving eastward through the day. The heaviest period of snow will be through the first half of Saturday.
Areas of snow reaching two to three inches of accumulation will be possible generally north of Highway 50 in Central Kansas. The latest maps put most of McPherson County at two inches or less. The northern portion of the county could see up to three inches.
Snow accumulation could cause roadways to be slick.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of winter weather will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities. Use caution while driving.
