MITCHELL, S.D—  Three Bethany College wrestlers placed Saturday in the Dakota Wesleyan Open.

Quinton Harrison (125), Victor Hughes (149) and Jonathan Blackwell (157) all finished sixth in their respective weight classes.

"Competition can either give you confidence or direction," Bethany coach Cody Garcia said. "Today painted a good picture of what we will need to emphasize moving forward. We definitely had some weaknesses exposed and lacked the characteristics that make us who we are. It is a matter of being more disciplined in our position and more purposeful in our action. Even after a poor performance with a depleted crew, I am confident we will bounce back. This is a resilient crew that is set to do the things we need to do to earn success."

Bethany results:

125: Quinton Harrison, 2-1, 6th place

133: James Lohman, 1-2

141: Steven Ortiz, 0-2

149: Courtney Strauss, 6-2

149: Victor Hughes, 3-1, 6th place

149: John Risewick, 0-2

149: Alex Davis-Carter, 0-2

157: Jamil Jones, 2-2

157: Jonathan Blackwell, 5-2, 6th place

165: John Hughes, 1-2
