BETHANY, Okla. — Central Christian College’s men’s soccer season came to an end Thursday with a 4-0 loss to Southwestern Christian in the first round of the NCAA Central Regional.

It was just a 1-0 game at the half before the Tigers surrendered three second-half goals. Luis Soto was under siege all day for CCC in goal, but did come up with nine saves.

“Giving up three goals off of corner kicks is an example of not doing the little things,” CCC coach Aaron Hoxie said. “On the other end, we have to learn to score when the opportunities present themselves. Missing two 1-on-1s with the goalkeeper is an example of not doing the little things. These things will come with maturity. I am very proud of these players and this team. They have brought the joy back into coaching for me."

The Tigers closed the season with a 7-8-3 record, which was a big improvement over last year’s 3-12 mark. Only three seniors will be graduating.
