McPherson College will have a new women’s soccer coach next season.

Rob Talley is leaving the college after seven years, according to an announcement made Tuesday by McPherson College Athletic Director Doug Quint.

"Please help me congratulate Rob for his contribution to McPherson College," Quint said. "We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors."

Talley came to Mac in 2007, serving as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s programs. In 2008, he was named head coach for the women.

Talley compiled a 52-61-14 record, with his best season in 2009 when the Bulldogs were 10-5-3.

Talley’s final two teams at Mac were 5-12-1 and this season did not qualify for the KCAC Tournament for the first time in 10 years.

"We will begin searching for a new head coach immediately," Quint said.
