City of McPherson seeking Tree Board members

The City of McPherson is looking for Tree Board Members.  The Tree Board's responsibility is to study, investigate, develop, update, plan for the care, preservation, pruning, replanting, removal, or disposition of trees and shrubs in parks, along streets within the city rights of way, and other public properties.

For thirty-seven years in a row, McPherson has been recognized as a Tree City USA Community by the Arbor Day Foundation. The trees in our community not only add beauty to our neighborhoods, but also provide environmental and health benefits to our residents.

The Tree Board meets on the 1st Wednesday of every month at 7:00 AM in the City Hall East Conference Room, 400 East Kansas Meetings and dates are subject to change without notice. Please call the City Office to confirm meeting dates and times.
