HASTINGS, Neb. — McPherson College’s men’s basketball losing streak now stands at four despite a double-double from Darius Hill Friday night in a 70-58 loss to Hastings College.

Hill poured in 18 points and snatched 10 rebounds, but the Bulldogs still fell to 3-5 on the season.

The Broncos used a cold stretch by the Bulldogs midway through the first half as an impetus to a 43-29 halftime lead. Mac actually outscored the hosts 29-27 in the second half.

The Bulldogs, for the third straight game, simply couldn’t find the basket by shooting just 35 percent, that despite Hill canning 9 of 15. The rest of the team was just 13 of 47.

DeAndre Henson provided 11 points off the bench for Mac.

Mac plays its last game before conference play when it takes on Doane College today at 2 p.m.

Mac (58) — Hill 18, Beeler 6, Grant 5, Crook 5, Berry 3, Henson 11, Bachura 5, Jolly 5.

Hastings (70) — Krause 15, Thayer 10, DeWaard 10, Reinwald 4, Lenagh 4, Musiel 8, Callaghan 7, Blum 5, Clemens 4, Eaves 3.
