Central Christian College’s women put 50 points on the board in the second half here Saturday afternoon against KCAC school Bethel.

But the Threshers were even more prolific, scoring 56 of their own to outlast the Lady Tigers 87-74 at Alexander Arena.

The bright spot, however, was the return to form of Central’s Quamisha Spence, who flashed some of last year’s firepower with 22 points and 12 rebounds in a season-high 25 minutes. MacKenzie Woods added 10 points.

Six Threshers hit for double figures, led by April Harpe with 19, along with 13 rebounds.

The difference in the game was turnovers, as the Lady Tigers kicked it away a whopping 34 times.

Central, now 3-8, plays Monday at Newman University in Wichita in an exhibition game.
