McPherson High’s Andric McGill was named first-team Class 4-1A All-State, according to selections announced today by the Kansas Soccer Coaches Association.

McGill was the Bullpups’ leading scorer this season with 15 goals and two assists. He is only a sophomore.

The Bullpups had two players make the second team, Patrick Munsey and Jamison Stout. They’ll join McGill next year as the nucleus of what is expected to be an outstanding team since the Bullpups lose only one senior, Ethan VanDorn. MHS made it to the Elite Eight this year before being eliminated by Ottawa.

Rose Hill swept the individual awards, as Christian Helmke was named Offensive Player of the Year, Alek Santo was Defensive Player of the Year and Geoffrey Stitcher was Goalie of the Year. The Rockets’ Jerry Treat was Coach of the Year.
