Jr. Eagles win on Fields' 3-pointer

SOLOMON — Aidan Fields hit a game-winning 3-point shot Thursday as Elyria Christian Junior High’s boys outlasted Solomon, 42-41.

There were 10 lead changes in the tight game and it was tied seven times.

Caleb Froese had a double-double for the Eagles with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Fields chipped in with 11 points.

The Eagles are now 3-1.

Elyria’s B-boys were a 33-15 winner to move to 4-0. The ECJH girls lost 34-5 and are 0-4.

Elyria plays again on Thursday when it hosts Central Christian Academy of Wichita.
