MANHATTAN — It could have been real easy for Central Christian College’s men to take Manhattan Christian for granted Thursday night.

The Tigers scored a 32-point victory over the Thunder earlier in the year. But there was no lack of focus on their part as they completed the sweep with a 97-67 rout.

"I was proud of the way we shared the ball tonight,” CCC coach Tony Romero said. "We did much better playing both sides of the floor and received good balance from a lot of guys.  However, I'm still not too happy with the way we contained the ball and our free throw shooting."

The Tigers were led by reserve Ernest Burton, who came off the bench to fill it up for 20 points. Alonzo Stafford had another double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Also scoring in double figures were Michael Gholston (15), Tere Adams (12), Shawn Robbins (12) and Dustin Rojas (10).

The Tigers, now 8-2, complete the pre-Christmas portion of the schedule Thursday when they host Ozark Christian.

• Note — The women’s game was cancelled. Manhattan Christian has terminated its season due to a lack of numbers.

CCC (97) — Burton 20, Stafford 17, Quincy 4, Gholston 15, Rojas 10, Glynn 4, Riak 1, Clayborn 2, Adams 12, Robbins 12.

Manhattan Christian (67) — Vanegas 5, Harper 5, Ruis 16, White 15, Chisam 6, Olberding 5, Guilford 3, Scott 8, Jacobsen 4.
