McPherson High’s boys remained No. 4 in Class 4A Division I in the latest KBCA poll on Monday despite an 81-29 season-opening victory over El Dorado.

The Bullpups remained behind Eudora, Miege and Hays, even though Hays lost in its own tournament on Saturday night.

The rest of the Top 10 includes Topeka Hayden, Paola, Andale, Ottawa, Abilene and Basehor-Linwood. The Bullpups host Abilene next Tuesday.

MHS’ girls remained at No. 10. Miege is on top, while other teams ahead of the Bullpups are Paola, Hayden, Ottawa, Wamego, Kansas City Piper, Louisburg, Bonner Springs and Labette County.

Hesston still rules as No. 1 in Class 3A for both boys and girls. Moundridge’s girls stayed at No. 4 in Class 2A, trailing Central Plains, Washington County and Olpe.
