TOPEKA — Former McPherson High basketball standout Christian Ulsaker, who helped the Bullpups to the Class 5A state championship in 2011, can’t buy a break.
Ulsaker, who has battled hand injuries dating back to his high school days, will now be out 6-8 weeks after suffering a broken jaw in a recent game against Missouri Southern.
The 6-6 junior was second on the team in rebounding (5.1) and fourth in scoring (7.9) at the time of his injury.
Ulsaker is the all-time leading scorer in MHS history with 1,513 points. Jordan Fithian is a distant second with 1,287. Ulsaker is also second all-time in rebounds with 580, just four back of Fithian.
