The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory starting at 3 p.m. today and going until 6 a.m. on Thursday. Total snow accumulations will be one to two inches on average, with isolated pockets of up to four inches possible. According to a post from McPherson County 911 on Facebook, McPherson County could be in one of those pockets, as the Weather Service says "The greatest amounts are expected in McPherson, Marion and Chase Counties."
Very light ice accumulations are also possible. The main impact would be in the early stages of the event where untreated roads, bridges and overpasses could be very slick. Reduced visibility and slick roads are also likely in the heavier snow.
