MMS wrestlers wrap up excellent season

GREAT BEND — McPherson Middle School’s wrestling team put the wrap on a 12-4 season Tuesday by going 2-1 in the Great Bend Quad.

The Bullpups routed Salina South (77-21) and outlasted Salina Lakewood (56-45) before losing to Great Bend (63-30).

“Pretty cool a few kids got some revenge on some kids that have beat them earlier this year,” said MMS coach Scott Davis, who said his team had an outstanding season.

Rhett Edmonson was 3-0 on the day and finished the year 19-0. Landon Frantz and Alex Perkins were also 3-0 on the day.
