HAYS — There was a thought that given the high level the Bethany College men have played at in recent games, they might push Fort Hays State in an exhibition game Tuesday night at Gross Coliseum.
The Tigers were having none of it.
Fort Hays powered its way to a 95-52 win, leading the game 49-24 at the half.
Gary Jones turned in a big-time performance in defeat with 22 points. Brandon Huskey came off the bench for 11.
Twelve Tigers scored, led by Jared Tillock and Achoki Moikobu with 17 apiece.
Bethany is still 8-3 on the year since the loss doesn’t count toward its record. It plays two games this weekend in Denver, Johnson and Wales on Friday and Northern New Mexico on Saturday.
