BILLINGS, Mont. — Mother Nature had a lot to do Monday with the Bethany College women’s 71-27 basketball loss to the University of Montana Western.
The Swedes, because of weather-related problems and numerous flight cancellations, had only five available players.
“We had five total players today and they gave us everything they had,” Bethany coach Brett Morehouse said. “The girls hustled for every loose ball, ran down to challenge players who had breakaway layups and never once complained about being tired."
Alex Brammer scored 15 of the Swedes’ points. Syndey Ahaneku, getting a chance to play more because of the lack of numbers, pulled down nine rebounds.
The Swedes, 1-12, are playing Rocky Mountain College today.
