BILLINGS, Mont. — Bethany College’s short-handed women’s basketball team, which had just seven available players, was defeated 75-45 Tuesday by Rocky Mountain College.

The Swedes, who had only five available players in their game the previous day, were led by Alex Brammer with 17 points. Jyll Gamboa scored 12 and Paige Stewart added 10.

Weather problems kept several Swedes from getting back, among them top scorers Adriane Davis and Royce Shields.

“Despite having seven players tonight, fatigue again played a big factor," Bethany coach Brett Morehouse said. "Dom (Davis) and Cheyenne (Cleveland) really helped us on defense and were able to play a lot of longer rotations, which relieved our other five players who were still pretty drained from yesterday. They would never say that they were tired, but that group visibly ran out of gas in the second half."

Bethany is now 1-13 on the year. It plays Friday at Haskell in Lawrence.

Bethany (45) — Ahaneku 3, Gamboa 12, Shetlar 2, Brammer 17, Stewart 10, Davis 1.

Rocky Mountain (75) — Rice 6, Lefevre 11, Mitchell 18, Donovan 7, Capouch 10, Lucas 3, Gerke 3, Spencer 7, Harper 10.
