NORTH NEWTON — Central Christian College’s women made their return to the basketball court on Saturday with an 81-54 loss to KCAC member Bethel.

The Lady Tigers couldn’t get the rust knocked off in the first half, trailing 43-25. They played the Threshers more competitive in the second half, but the early deficit was the difference.

Kelly Smit scored 11 points for the Lady Tigers and Quamisha Spence came off the bench with 10. April Harpe had a double-double for Bethel with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

The Lady Tigers, now 4-9 on the year, play Thursday at Grace University, a team they lost to by three points earlier this season at Alexander Arena.
