LINDSBORG — Bethany College’s men’s basketball team dominated the weekly honors as announced Monday by the KCAC.
The Swedes’ Jonathan Gidson was named Offensive Player of the Week and teammate Nathan Coleman was the best of the best on the defensive end.
Gidson paced Bethany to two wins at the Kansas Wesleyan Classic, coming off the bench to score 52 points in two games. He added 14 rebounds and dished out seven assists. He shot 66.6 percent from the field, including 11 of 12 against Haskell, 50 percent from 3-point and 90 percent from the free throw line.
Coleman averaged 8.0 rebounds per game, 5.5 defensively, 2.5 steals per game and 0.5 blocks per game.
