McPherson High School will probably not face any more football teams coached by Bo Black.

Black, who was at Great Bend for 13 years where his teams often matched up with the Bullpups and spent last season at Hays, is heading to Shawnee Mission Northwest as head football coach, as reported this afternoon by multiple sources.

Black was 7-2 in his only year at Hays. The Indians were 6-0 before losing to Buhler and McPherson High in the district to miss the playoffs despite being led by Kansas State commit Alex Delton at quarterback.

He will remain through this school year, as he coaches track at Hays.

Hays will enter the 2015 season with its third coach in as many years. Ryan Cornelson left after the 2013 season for Hutchinson, where he led the Salt Hawks to the Class 6A title game.
