BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- McPherson High graduate Tim Prescott’s outstanding performance last weekend at Central Missouri State garnered him the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Wrestler of the Week.

Prescott, competing at 125 pounds, posted a 3-0 record with three decisions leading the seventh-ranked Huskies to a 2-1 record.

He started with a 2-0 win over Malacai Collins of Central Missouri. In his biggest win of the day, Prescott upset fourth-ranked Garrett Evans of Ouachita Baptist 3-1 before finishing his day with a 4-3 decision over Dustin Reed of Newman, who he lost to his senior year of high school for a state championship.

The Huskies were a 40-6 winner over Central Missouri, lost 22-19 to No. 4 Ouachita Baptist and won 46-3 over Newman at the UCM Duals to improve to 3-1 on the season.

St. Cloud State returns to action this weekend, Jan. 10-11, in the NWCA National Duals held in Fort Wayne, Ind.
