Central Christian College’s basketball teams finally enter the conference portion of their schedules this weekend.

The Lady Tigers will play Friday at College of St. Mary and then join the men on Saturday at Waldorf University as the MCAC season begins in earnest.

The Tiger men, meanwhile, play at nationally ranked Bellevue on Friday.

The CCC men finished nonconference play with a 10-4 record and are coming off their best shooting night of the year, making 18 of 28 3-point shots last Saturday in a 94-49 rout of Hillsdale Baptist.

Bellevue, ranked No. 6 in the country, actually has started MCAC play. The Bruins were stunned by Waldorf 76-74 in the only conference game played so far. Bellevue is 14-3 on the year, Waldorf just 5-10.

The Lady Tigers moved to 6-10 on Tuesday with a 71-51 triumph over Central Christian Bible College of Moberly, Mo.

College of St. Mary is ranked No. 8 in the country and is 12-3 on the year. Waldorf might represent a a good chance at a win for the Lady Tigers as it’s only 1-13 heading into MCAC play.
