Carl Frazier was in a zone the likes never seen before.

Frazier was a strike-throwing machine as he destroyed the McPherson High School boys bowling record on Friday at Starlite Lanes with a mind-blowing 791 series, which included games of 266, 277 and 248. He helped the Bullpups stay undefeated on the season with a 2,555-2,159 victory over Augusta.

Bullpup coach Herb Halinski said it was a tremendous accomplishment as he still has bowled over 200 in every game this season.

Frazier had some help as Clayton Ouellette had a 637 that included a 255 game, while Jeff Reed bounced back with a 610, with two of his games in the 200s.

The defending state champion Bullpup girls received yet another huge series from Makenzie Benson, who had a career-best 658 with all three games over 200 — with a high of 236. Consistent Jasmine Wann added a 613 as the Bullpups totaled 2,343 to just 1,994 for Augusta.

“Today was a pretty good day,” Halinksi said. “We still have work to do this week, but the kids bowled really good today am proud of all of them.”
