Jr. Eagles edged by Goessel

GOESSEL — Goessel’s boys rallied in the fourth quarter to deal Elyria Christian Junior High School a 36-33 setback on Thursday.

The Eagles, down 18-17 at the half, pushed ahead 30-29 going into the fourth quarter, but couldn’t hold off the Bluebirds’ rally.

Caleb Froese scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Junior Eagles. Aidan Fields scored 12 and snatched seven rebounds, while Kobe Neufeldt hauled in eight rebounds.

The B-team won 38-11, but no scoring was reported. The Junior Eagle girls were defeated, 38-4.
