EL DORADO — McPherson High’s bowling teams weren’t at their best Tuesday, but even with that they were able to defeat Circle in a dual match.

Scores were down all-around as the MHS girls outlasted the Thunderbirds, 2,004-1,727. Jasmine Wann was the only Bullpup to reach the 500 mark with a 515.

The MHS boys received a push before prevailing with a 2,204-2,138 victory. Clayton Ouellette led the Bullpups with a 586.

“Today was a good day for both boys and girls,” MHS coach Herb Halinski said. “We could have bowled better, but we escaped with wins. The pins just didn't seem to fall today as all of the bowlers on both schools threw good shots, but the pins just didn't fall.  Clayton Ouellete and Jasmine Wann were the standouts.”

A highlight came in the girls JV as Bailey Holton threw a 205 final game.

The Bullpups are home for the final time at 1 p.m. Friday at Starlite Lanes for Senior Day. El Dorado and Hutchinson will provide the opposition in the triangular.
