CCC cagers on the road this weekend

Central Christian College’s basketball teams go back out on the road this weekend.

The Tiger teams load up to play at Central Baptist in Arkansas on Friday, then go to College of the Ozarks in Missouri on Saturday afternoon.

After opening MCAC play with three straight road losses, the Tiger men got well at home last weekend by sweeping games with Oklahoma Wesleyan and Haskell.

The Tigers are 12-7 overall, but have struggled on the road by going just 3-6.

Central Baptist is tied with Central Christian at 2-3 in the MCAC and is just 7-16 overall. Saturday’s opponent, College of the Ozarks, is ranked No. 15 in the country and in a four-way tie for second place at 3-2. Overall the Bobcats are 14-5.

The Lady Tigers are 1-4 in the MCAC, the win coming against Waldorf. Central Baptist occupies the MCAC cellar at 0-5, though it was 7-4 in nonconference play.

On Saturday, the Lady Tigers are matched against an Ozarks team that is ranked No. 19 nationally. The Lady Bobcats are 4-1 in the MCAC, 13-6 overall.
