Canton-Galva’s girls and Moundridge advanced to championship games of their respective tournaments with semifinal wins on Thursday.
At Sedgwick, the Eagles were a 49-37 winner over Clearwater and will play for the title at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Cassidy Enns was immense with 24 points. The Eagles outscored Clearwater 28-15 over the middle two quarters.
Keana Haydon chipped in with 14, seven in both halves. She knocked down a pair of 3-pointers.
The Eagles face Conway Springs for the championship. It defeated Inman 49-37 in the other semifinal. No scoring was reported for that game.
• Moundridge girls 52, Bennington 51 — In the Great Bend Hilltop Classic, the Wildcats knocked off league opponent Bennington on a Cassidy Siemens basket late in the game.
Moundridge had the game well in hand, up 14, but the Bulldogs put on a late charge.
Siemens, Ashley Holler and Michelle Schrag all scored 10 points for the Wildcats.
Moundridge plays powerhouse Central Plains at 8:15 tonight for the title.
