McPherson College’s men are looking to make their KCAC postseason playoff status a little more secure.

Mac travels Saturday to Salina to take on Kansas Wesleyan in a matchup of lower-division teams.

The Bulldogs are 3-8 in the KCAC, a game up on 2-9 Wesleyan and Bethel. A Mac win and an expected Bethel loss to Bethany would give the Bulldogs a two-game cushion on both teams. The top eight advance to the tournament.

And a win would allow the Bulldogs to perhaps gain on Ottawa and Sterling, which are both a game up on Mac at 4-7. Ottawa is home against Southwestern while Sterling hosts Friends.

Tipoff is 7 p.m., with a women’s game at 5. The Mac women have won their last two KCAC games to move to 3-8, while Wesleyan is tied for second with Tabor at 8-3, both teams a game back of 9-2 Friends.
