MAC wrestlers have busy weekend

The MAC Wrestling Club had a busy weekend with tournaments at Salina and Garden Plain. The Salina tournament drew more than 1,400 competitors from several states.

• At Salina •

2nd — Treyton Pelnar, 10-and-under, 55.

4th — Lane Thompson, 12-and-under, 190

5th — Alex Perkins, 12-and-under, 150

6th — Landon Thompson, 10-and-under, 85

Also participating were Logan Peterson, Lorenzo Cruzen, Collin Pearson and Mason Thrash.

• At Garden Plain •

1st — Tyson Gottwald, 12-and-under, 100; Kourtney Craig, 12-and-under, 140; Mya Kretzer, 14-and-under, 110 girls

4th — Paxton Ingall, 6-and-under, 64; Nathan Stecklein, 8-and-under, 73.

5th — Josh Brossard, 10-and-under, 95.

The wrestlers will be competing in the Maize “Battle of the Belt” Tournament this upcoming weekend at the Kansas Star Casino.

 Sunday, March 1, MAC will be hosting the “War of the Roses” Kansas State Girls Wrestling Championships at the Central Christian College.
