McPherson College has announced that Jose Reyes has been promoted to associate head coach for the men's soccer program, according to head coach Doug Quint.
"I am very excited for this next step in my coaching career," Reyes said. "McPherson College has really seen me grow a lot in the past 10 years and I am anxious to see what the future holds for both the program and my family."
Reyes will take on additional responsibilities for the Bulldogs since Quint is now the head coach for both the men’s and women’s program.
"I am pleased to welcome ‘Ardi’ into this new role," Quint said. "He's done an outstanding job for us over the last five years and this program owes a great deal to him. My goal is to continue helping him grow as a professional while we work together to keep improving on our established traditions moving forward."
Reyes recently was named the 2014 Kansas Youth Soccer Boys Coach of the Year.
He is a 2009 graduate of McPherson College and has coached for the Bulldogs ever since. He has been a part of three conference championship teams, one as a player and two as a coach with the most recent coming this past season when the team went 14-4-2 overall and 8-0-1 in the KCAC regular season.
