BC's Risewick, Atwood take titles

BALDWIN CITY – Bethany College’s John Risewick and Kyler Atwood captured championships this weekend at Baker University’s Jimmy May-Hem Open in the final tournament meet of the regular season. The Swedes still have a dual meet left.

Risewick, at 141 pounds, won an 8-4 decision in the finals over Colby Watters of Baker University.

Atwood was an 8-0 major decision winner over Skyler Hittle of Fort Hays to earn the 197 championship.

The Swedes’ Victor Hughes was second at 141, losing in the finals to Fort Hays State’s Joey Dozier. Smoky Valley product Trevor Whittaker at 184 and Damion Walls Jr. at 133 were both third.
