MHS, Eldredge take 1st

REMINGTON — McPherson High’s wrestling team outlasted Douglass 133-127 to take first place Saturday in the Remington Invitational.

MHS won despite taking a partial team to the 12-school event, which consisted mostly of smaller schools.

MHS’ Austin Eldredge won both his matches to take first at 106. Brynton Crews was second at 113, while Cole Kretzer (120), Gunnar Reiss (126), Luke Thompson (145) and Dylan Baldwin (195) all took third.

MHS competes Saturday in the regional meet at Hays. More on that meet will be posted soon.
