Oh so close.

Mike Cavanaugh came within one pin of a perfect game Thursday night at Starlite Lanes as he finished with a 299 in the Wendy's Classic League, which last week produced a pair of 300 games.

Skip Wilson, however, had the high series as he was three pins ahead of Cavanaugh, 976-973, as both bowlers were on fire.
