WICHITA — McPherson High’s bowling teams both finished second in their respective divisions during the AVCTL Championships on Friday.
El Dorado won the title in both divisions.
“The kids bowled good, but too many missed spares,” MHS coach Herb Halinski said.
The Bullpups did have several medalists.
For the girls, Makenzie Benson was fourth (559), Jasmine Wann was fifth (545), Rhianna Smith was eighth (508) and Ashley LaSalle was 10th (499).
Individual games were not available.
The boys had three medalists. Carl Frazier was fourth with 635, Jeff Reed was sixth with 615 and Clayton Ouellette was eighth with 586.
Again, individual games were not available.
The Bullpups’ season will hinge on Friday when they compete in the regionals at Great Bend. MHS’ girls are the defending state champions, while the boys were third in the state.
